In Their Shoes Walk Announces Walker Orientations

This fall, Athens Regional Medical Center will host the In Their Shoes
walk, a 13-mile, one-day walk recognizing and honoring women who have
lived through breast cancer. The event will be held on
Saturday, October 20, 2007

The walk is symbolic of the long road of treatment breast cancer
patients must endure to survive.

All proceeds from the walk remain local, benefiting the Loran Smith
Center for Cancer Support through the Athens Regional Foundation. A
fundraising minimum of $1,000 is required of all walkers.

In the months and weeks preceding the walk, organizers have scheduled
several Walker Orientation gatherings to provide participants with
fundraising tips and ideas, as well as walking coaches and opportunities
for group walks.

Walker Orientations Dates & Times
June 28th (5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)
July 26th (5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.)
August 23rd (5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.)
September 27th (5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)

Team Orientations can be planned upon request.
